The user can click on ‘DT’ (Design and Technology) and a link will open which lists a number of teaching ideas in support of the subject area – Technology. A number of these teaching ideas are in PDF format enabling teachers to print off when necessary. Included in this website are projects such as: ‘Making Kites’, ‘Build a Bridge’ and ‘Design your Classroom’. This website can be of benefit for teachers as the information is easily accessible and can be used when required in teaching technology to students in the Primary School setting.

The City Technology Project webpage offers project ideas in several areas of Design Technology. These include the following: ‘Packaging’, ‘Mechanisms’, ‘Mapping’, ‘Designing Environment’, ‘Signs & Symbols’ and ‘Fixing and Fastening’. There are picture icons that one can click on to access. There are also links in relation to the same topic on the left hand side of the page that can be accessed by the click of the mouse. This website offers many project ideas in all of the above-mentioned areas. Each of these areas mentioned above, when accessed, provides not only ideas, but also step-by-step information on what requirements are necessary in order to be able to participate in the technology projects. This is a very good resource for teachers in the area of Design Technology.

The website tells us that these digital resources can be used, not only for teachers, but students and parents as well. These resources can help teachers communicate technology information to the students in addition to having easily accessible lesson plans on supply.

The PBS website, as the site suggests, offers multimedia resources and professional development for Prek – 12 educators. The classroom materials are applicable for a range of subjects and grade levels. This website includes resources such as teaching activities, lesson plans and interactive games, just to name a few. The user will need to click on ‘Science & Tech’ to gain access to resources suitable for the teaching of technology to students. When the user has clicked on the desired grade range, the user will notice a number of topics to choose from and be able to click on preferred topic, which in turn will give the user a prepared lesson plan. The website has a vast amount of information for teachers and parents to easily access.

These projects are in either PDF or Microsoft Word Format easily accessible and ready for printing to utilise within the classroom. This is an excellent website for teachers furthermore very easy to navigate.
